Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5 R Classic RC Monster Truck

The Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5 and 2.5R Monster Truck comes readily assembled out of the
box—all you do is add batteries and nitro and you’re just about ready to play. However, you do have to paint
it. It comes clear. It’s a good idea to put some glue on the tires, and add oil as well. The instructions
tell you how to do all this. It’s a pretty simple process.
There are some optional accessories that are a good idea to buy. You should get yourself a glow plug wrench and some glow plugs. A stiff paint brush and some cotton swabs will do you well,
too. Also, a couple of spare fuel filters, lots of nitro fuel
(20%) and a fuel bottle.
The radio receiver on the Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5R Classic RC monster truck is none
other than the T-Maxx TQ3. It is a 3-channel system equipped with servo reverser switches. You can adjust the
brake/throttle to 70-30 or 50-50, whichever is your preferred choice. In general, it is a comfortable unit
complete with foam grip. It is simple to operate.
The Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5 Classic nitro powered RC Monster Truck suspension is adjustable
so you can customize it to your own feel. It goes just as fast
backwards as it does forwards, and true disk brakes. In fact, if
this beast has a major flaw it would be that the brakes are almost too good. You really have to get the hang of them, otherwise you’ll flip over the
machine.
The shocks are fantastic. You can take a
long, high jump and land soft as a marshmallow. This action is
helped by the tires, which are 3” X 5 ¾” and have foam inserts.
They also have grippy Chevron treads, just like the life-sized versions.
The Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5 Classic RC Monster Truck is a solid-handling vehicle and it’s
good value for the buck.
