Traxxas Slayer Pro 4X4

The Traxxas Slayer Pro 4X4 is an updated version of the previous bad boy, the original Slayer. It’s a nice looking nitro powered RC machine, with chrome spoke wheels and Kumho or BF Goodrich tires. It’s also 30 mm longer than the original, giving it a wicked stance.

The footprint of the Traxxas Slayer Pro 4WD RC truck has also been widened by 26 mm. The suspension arms have been widened in addition to the lengthened chassis. It has stability and guts. The steering servos are high torque and the shocks are coated with Teflon. The Traxxas Slayer Pro 4X4 comes ready to rumble.  With its technology and engineered advancedments, this nitro RC truck can reach speeds in excess of 50mph!

It comes with a high-output radio that is 2.4 GHz for interference operation and long controllable range.  It links up to 20 Traxxas models automatically without having to name them. The model settings dial in right away after you fire up the transmitter. It is multi-function. It can control the throttle, the braking, and the steering percentage and sensitivity.

The paint job is licensed to appear like the full-size short-track racer.  You can choose from four body types:  the Douglas/Odberg, the Mark Jenkins, the Greg Adler and the Mike Jenkins.  It is a ProGraphix finish ready to go with decals.

The throttle and steering servos are waterproof and high-torque on the Traxxas Slayer Pro 4X4.  The suspension length was increased by a whopping 26 mm.  The GTR shocks are hard-anodized and coated with Teflon.  The shafts are made of titanium nitride.  The receiver box is nice and compact, and the transmission is of the two-speed auto-shifting variety.

Some enthusiasts may not like this, but the Traxxas Slayer Pro 4X4 comes fully assembled.  It’s sometimes more fun to put it together yourself to get the feel of it.  Anyway, it comes with tools, an extra glow plug, extra air filter, charger, fuel bottle and battery for the EZ Start mechanism.  It’s a nice package.
