The Traxxas Revo 2008 Platinum Edition is not for amateurs. Traxxas
engineered this RC racing truck using information acquired from the pro races. It comes equipped
with dual digital steering servos, knobby Response Pro tires, large 150 cc fuel tank to power it's crazy fast
3.3 nitro racing engine, a larger air filter, and a compressed receiver box. It comes with dozens of new
features.
Like many of the Traxxas products, the Revo 2008 Platinum Edition comes ready
to run off the shelf, just add nitro! It has tuning options, too. There is a Y harness for
the steering servos. The clutch bell is sixteen-tooth and the spur gears are forty-tooth and thirty-six
tooth. The bars are thick sway, and the shock oil is 60 WT and 40 WT.
The body is designed for racing and the body posts are low-profile. The differential oil is 10k for the rear and 50k for the front. The bumpers are compact, made of black chrome. The outer bearings are 13 mm and the steering components are designed to
allow for the maximum amount of steering throw possible.
But it doesn’t end there. The tires
(Response Pro) come with foam inserts that maximize execution.
Also, the Traxxas Revo 2008 Platinum Edition comes equipped with a black wing with high
down-force. The height and deflection angle of the wing mount is
fully adjustable.

Platinum Edition has suspension arms in the rear that are adjustable, to give you customized
handling. The wheelbase is extended. To get ultimate horsepower, there is an IPS backplate and
crankshaft. For starter boxes, it has a 40 mm flywheel made of
tooled aluminum. The rockers are Progressive 2, which gives the
handling responsiveness and trust.
The ride is like butter on smooth surfaces and it can dip, flop and nose-dive along
with the best of them on bumpy terrains.
