The Traxxas Jato 3.3 Nitro RC car is powered
by the new TRX 3.3 engine that packs more punch than some people can handle. It has a top speed of 65 mph, going from one to sixty in 4.2
seconds. It is a low-maintenance car with many exciting
features.
One of these features is the controversial EZ
Start nitro system. Although some people find the wiring of it to
be a little temperamental, others find the contraption as a whole to make starting simpler and
faster. It also includes a glow plug monitor that is battery
powered. It is two LEDs that indicate the condition and whether it’s
operating or not.
The treads are tough and ready on the Traxxas
Jato 3.3 Nitro. They are 2.8 inch Anacondas, taking you over rough and bumpy
surfaces. They are built to jump as well. It’s also got zero-bump
suspension and GTR shocks.
High speed needs juicy
fuel. The Traxxas Jato 3.3 Nitro runs on a rich 20% nitro.
The radio package is comprehensive. There is a
transmitter, a receiver and two servos included. There is also a manual and
instructional DVD to help you sort through all the technicalities.
The Traxxas Jato 3.3 seems to have a couple of
weaknesses in the suspension. The shock towers and
turn buckles are sub par according to some owners. They may have to be
replaced if you bump and grind at maximum speed. The engine is built for
that speed but the suspension doesn’t seem to measure up. The swing arms aren’t
too bad, though.
It is worth mentioning that with the EZ Start you
have to buy a 7.2 battery. It is not included in the package. The battery charger isn’t
included either. Overall, though, it is an excellent package and a fun machine.
